Types of Bodyart- Body Painting. Temporarily modifying skin color and creating decorative patterns, images, and text with paint. Also called temporary tattoo.
- Scalpelling. Using a scalpel to cut a slit into the skin for the creation of decorative perforations.
- Scarification. Scratching, etching, burning, branding, or superficially cutting designs, pictures, or words into the skin as a permanent body modification.
- Tattoos. Body modification made by inserting indelible ink into the dermis layer of the skin to change the pigment.
